LASU VC Urges Students to Embrace Hard Work as New Session Begins

Vice Chancellor's Message At Easter

EID EL FITRI: VICE CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE

My dear colleagues and world-class students,

Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones.

On behalf of the university management, I thank the Almighty Allah for sparing our lives to witness this year’s Eid El Fitri even as I extend my warm wishes for peace, prosperity, and blessings of the Almighty Allah upon every member of our community.

About 30 days ago, we commenced the journey of the Holy month of Ramadan in earnest anticipation of God’s blessings upon our individual lives, families, university, state, and nation. As we celebrate the festival of breaking the fast today, we can look back and appreciate His infinite mercies upon us.

While expressing our gratitude, we must come together in unity and solidarity as a community to reaffirm our commitment to the values of empathy, kindness, and generosity that Ramadan instils in us. We must extend love and kindness to one another and forgive each other’s shortcomings.

Indeed, this, more than ever before, is a time to remember those in need and offer a hand of help to as many as we have the capacity to help.

Finally, it is incumbent upon us to sustain the piousness, discipline, and self-denial that characterise our daily lives throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. It is in doing so that we can reap the benefits of the spiritual exercise in a sustainable manner.

I wish you a joyful and blessed Eid El Fitri. Amin.
