LASU VC Urges Students to Embrace Hard Work as New Session Begins

Lagos State University (LASU) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has encouraged students to prioritize hard work as a new academic session commences.

She assured the student body that the university administration would provide a conducive environment for learning.

In a message delivered to welcome students back on campus for the 2023/2024 academic session, Prof. Olatunji-Bello emphasized the importance of dedicating oneself to academic pursuits. She urged students to give their best in their primary assignment on campus, reminding them that hard work is the key to success.

“As an administration, we will continue to offer our unwavering support and provide the necessary resources for you to thrive,” the Vice Chancellor stated.

Expressing her delight at welcoming the students back after the break, Prof. Olatunji-Bello acknowledged that their absence was felt, although holidays are essential elements of the school’s academic calendar.

The Vice Chancellor also extended a warm welcome to the new students who gained admission to the prestigious institution. She congratulated them on their achievement and assured them that they had chosen the best university for their education.

“Our aim is to establish a university where you, our world-class students, can achieve your goals without fear or intimidation. We kindly request your support in abstaining from vices such as indecent dressing, cultism, drugs, and all forms of harassment. Any instances of such behavior should be immediately reported to the appropriate university authorities,” Prof. Olatunji-Bello added.

With the commencement of the new academic session, LASU is focused on fostering a culture of hard work and discipline among its students. The Vice Chancellor’s message serves as a reminder of the university’s commitment to providing an enabling environment for educational excellence.
