Vice Chancellor Greet Muslim Faithfuls On Commencement Of The Holy Month Of Ramadan

VICE CHANCELLOR GREET MUSLIM FAITHFULS ON COMMENCEMENT OF THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN

My dear colleagues and world-class students,

Welcome to the Holy Month of Ramadan. As we embark on the journey of this blessed month, I extend warm greetings and heartfelt wishes of Ramadan Kareem to all our Muslim brothers and sisters in the Lagos State University community.

The 29/30 days of Ramadan is a dedicated period of fasting, prayer, and self-discipline, where faithfuls seek to deepen their connection with Allah and draw closer to fellow human beings.
As we do these, let us remember the values of compassion, empathy, and generosity that lie at the heart of Ramadan.

Let us remember those who are less fortunate and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Let us also embrace the spirit of unity and understanding that Ramadan embodies, even in our differences, so that we can continue to live in peace and oneness.

Finally, I urge you to use this holy month to commit our university, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole into the hand of the Almighty Allah, so that we can all enjoy peace and prosperity in our individual and corporate lives.

Ramadan Kareem.

Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM.
