VICE CHANCELLOR'S EID MUBARAK MESSAGE

Distinguished Colleagues, my world class students and other respected stakeholders,

Eid Mubarak!

In the last 30 days, muslim faithfuls all over the world have been on a long journey of self-denial, self-control, sacrifice and empathy for those who are less fortunate, exhibited in the dawn to dusk fasting of the Ramadan month, thus paving the way for them to have a closer relationship with Almighty Allah (SAW).

The Eid Mubarak festival, which marks the end of the exercise holds today and I extend my hearty congratulations to our muslim brothers and sisters in the Lagos State University for witnessing it. I pray that the blessings of Almighty Allah (SAW) will be with you and yours this season and always, and may you have reasons to always be grateful for His kindness towards you. Ameen.

While using this medium to express my profound appreciation to members of the muslim community in LASU for your unflinching support for our administration, I enjoin you to uphold the spiritual benefits of the Holy Month by remaining steadfast in your relationship with God and good deeds to others. Make godliness your lifestyle and continue to pray for peace and progress for our university, the state and nation at large.

Finally, let us continue to show tolerance to one another and stay committed to the pursuit of our common vision of becoming the best university in West Africa.

May we live to celebrate many more of this occasion. Ameen.
