LASU VC, PROFESSOR OLATUNJI-BELLO, INAUGURATED INTO NgREN/TERAS GOVERNING BOARD

The Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, was earlier today, Friday, 28th November 2025, formally inaugurated, alongside other distinguished appointees, into the Governing Board of the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN)/Tertiary Education Research Applications and Services (TERAS) Integration.

The inauguration took place during the Mid-term Co-Creation Workshop jointly convened by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre, Abuja.

The newly reconstituted NgREN/TERAS Board was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Olatunji Alausa, and the Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani. The Board is saddled with the critical mandate of advancing Nigeria’s national agenda for enhanced connectivity, strengthened research collaboration, and improved digital readiness across tertiary education and research institutions.

The Lagos State University community wishes the Vice-Chancellor and all members of the Board the very best as they embark on this significant national assignment.
