VICE-CHANCELLOR CELEBRATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFULS ON EID UL FITRI

My dear colleagues and world-class students, Eid Mubarak!

On behalf of the entire Lagos State University community, I warmly felicitate our Muslim brothers and sisters in the university on this joyous occasion of Eid ul-Fitri.

Eid ul-Fitri marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and provides an opportunity to offer gratitude to the Almighty Allah who saw us through the 30 days of fasting and spiritual renewal. It is also a moment when we come together in the spirit of Eid to enjoy the blessings of the season with family, friends, and colleagues.

I urge us to use the occasion of this celebration to rededicate ourselves to the Almighty Allah, sustain the principles of the holy month of Ramadan which are love, peace, kindness, compassion and happy co-existence, and make the lessons drawn from the period a permanent part of our lives. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) held these principles in high esteem and lived His whole life around them.

I also enjoin all members of the university community to embrace the values of inclusivity, mutual respect, and cooperation. Let us renew our collective commitment to the LASU project and foster an environment where diverse perspectives are respected, innovation is encouraged, and the voices of every individual count. Together, we can build a university where everyone thrives and contributes to the greater good of society.

Once again, Eid Mubarak. I wish you all a blessed celebration filled with peace, joy, and prosperity. Amen.

Signed
Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM
Vice-Chancellor
