LASU VC, DIST. PROF. IBIYEMI OLATUNJI-BELLO INAUGURATED AS MEMBER OF THE B.O.T. OF THE U.I. ALUMNI WORLDWIDE ASSOCIATION
The Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola OLATUNJI-BELLO, mni, NPOM, was, on Saturday, 29 August 2026, inaugurated alongside six other eminent Nigerians as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA).
Other members of the Board include HRM Oba Michael Adedotun GBADEBO, the Alake of Egbaland; His Excellency, Dr Umar GANDUJE, former Governor of Kano State and Chairman, Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Senator Dr Ifeanyi OKOWA, CON, former Governor of Delta State; Dr Onye Godfrey ACHILIHU, FAAC, a renowned cardiologist; Professor Charity ANGYA, former Vice-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi; and Professor Mohammed KYARI, Vice-Chancellor, Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State.
The historic inauguration took place at the Dame Edith OKOWA Auditorium, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, with executives of the Alumni Association, colleagues, family and friends of the inaugurated members, and members of the U.I. community in attendance.
The Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor OLATUNJI-BELLO, mni, NPOM, was joined by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Professor Oseni Taiwo AFISI, FSPSP; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Oluwatoyin Ayokunle ENIKUOMEHIN; and the Bursar, Mr Olabisi Ibrahim YUSUF, FCA, alongside the Vice-Chancellor’s aides and family members.
