The session, held on Monday, 14th September 2026, provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements recorded by the two companies under the Vice-Chancellor’s administration.
In his remarks, the Director, LASU Consult Limited, Professor Ibrahim BAKARE, highlighted several successful interventions across various University units, noting that the company had been positioned as a premier institutional consulting outfit. He said the collaboration between the Chairman and Board members had strengthened its standing, with partners increasingly viewing LASU Consult as a primary choice for institutional consultancy services.
He also noted the Vice-Chancellor’s financial interventions in improving infrastructure and the presentation of various organic units, particularly the rejuvenation of the JUPEB Programme in Badagry into a productive, revenue-generating academic centre with improved teacher welfare.
Also speaking, the Director, LASU Ventures Limited, Professor Olufemi ABASS, reported significant growth across several Strategic Business Units (SBUs), following investments in equipment and infrastructure. He disclosed that all SBUs were currently self-sustaining, generating sufficient revenue to cover the costs of their direct staff, and attributed the achievement to the administrative support and visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor.
Goodwill messages were delivered by Principal Officers of the University, a member of the University Governing Council, and members of the LASU Consult and LASU Ventures Boards.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation to the Boards, Directors and teams of both companies for their contributions to their growth. She noted steady revenue streams from services including laundromats, water sales and bread sales, attributing the progress to the continuous encouragement and direction provided to the Directors.
