VICE-CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE AT EASTER

Dear Esteemed Colleagues and World-Class Students,

On this special occasion of Easter Sunday, I join the rest of the world in extending warm greetings and best wishes to you all. I especially congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the successful completion of the 40-day Lenten season, which culminates in today’s joyous celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Easter marks the triumphant resurrection of Christ after three days in the grave, His victory over death and sin, and the ultimate fulfilment of God’s plan for humanity’s salvation. It is a season that calls us to reflect deeply on our walk with God and our relationship with one another.

More than a celebration, Easter reminds us of the core virtues that Christ’s sacrifice embodies, which include sacrifice, humility, selflessness, forgiveness, and love. As it is written in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” May this message of love inspire us to be better individuals, to seek the good of others, and to remain committed to the growth and unity of our university community.

I encourage each of us to take a moment during this Easter season to reflect on the meaning of Christ’s resurrection and how it shapes our lives, actions, and interactions.

May this season bring renewal, peace, and joy to our hearts. May God bless you all richly, grant you comfort, and fulfil your heart’s desires.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and love-filled Easter.

We are LASU, We are Great!
