WORKERS DAY MESSAGE FROM THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

As we welcome a new month today, May 1st, 2025, we also join the global community, and indeed our great nation, Nigeria, in celebrating the International Workers’ Day. On behalf of the university management, I extend warm wishes for a joyful International Workers’ Day and a prosperous new month to each and every one of you.

Today presents a meaningful opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the remarkable dedication, resilience, and passion that define our workforce here at LASU. I am deeply grateful for your unwavering commitment to our shared vision: to make LASU not just the best in Nigeria, but a shining beacon across our sub-region.

From our tireless support staff who ensure our environment remains safe and welcoming, to the academic, administrative, and technical teams who drive excellence across all levels; your efforts are the lifeblood of this university. Each of you plays an indispensable role in our continued growth and success.

Your hard work, often under challenging conditions, speaks volumes of your professionalism and belief in what we are building together. The positive, enriching learning space we provide would not be possible without your steadfast dedication.

As we celebrate today, please be assured that our administration remains committed to prioritising your welfare, recognising that every labourer deserves to be rewarded.

Finally, as you strive to earn a living, I urge you to prioritise your health. Go for regular medical check-ups, rest when your body calls for it, and take care of yourself through proper nutrition and regular exercise.

I pray that God blesses the work of our hands and grants us the grace to live long and enjoy the fruits of our labour. Amen.

Thank you for all that you do. Happy Workers’ Day!

God bless you all.

We are LASU, We are Great!
