VICE-CHANCELLOR’S WORKERS’ DAY MESSAGE

On behalf of the entire Management of Lagos State University, I extend warm greetings and sincere appreciation to all our dedicated and hardworking staff on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day.

Celebrated worldwide on the 1st of May, Workers’ Day recognises the invaluable contributions of the labour force to societal growth and development. At Lagos State University, our steady progress and growing reputation for excellence are built on the collective efforts of our academic, non-academic, technical, and support staff.

Today, I salute your resilience, commitment, and unwavering dedication to our shared vision of positioning LASU as a leading university in West Africa. Your consistent efforts continue to demonstrate that great achievements are possible when we work together in unity and with purpose.

As we reflect on our accomplishments over the past year and prepare for the opportunities ahead, let us renew our commitment to the ideals of innovation, integrity, and collaboration. In a rapidly evolving global environment, our strength lies in our ability to adapt, grow, and remain focused on excellence.

I encourage every member of staff to see this day not only as a celebration of our collective achievements but also as a moment to reaffirm our dedication to the goals and values that define us as an institution. May the spirit of Workers’ Day inspire us to continue striving for excellence and fostering a culture of unity and shared responsibility.

Happy Workers’ Day.

We Are LASU, We Are Great!
