VICE CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE AT CHRISTMAS
My estemeed colleagues, world-class students, and all other members of our university community, Merry Christmas.
On behalf of the entire Governing Council and Management, I extend warm felicitations on this auspicious occasion, thanking God for the grace He has given us to witness Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year.
The Christmas season serves as a powerful reminder of the hope brought to a condemned world through the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. In the midst of our merrying and celebration, therefore, let us remember that Christ remains the reason for the season and take note to imbibe the ideals of His life and ministry, which include unconditional love, forgiveness of sin, peace, grace, generosity, championing the cause of the weak and the oppressed as well as the vulnerable amongst us.
Today, again presents us the opportunity to reflect on these values as we continue to pray for peace, growth, and prosperity within our university, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.
I pray that this season of Christmas will bring us peace and happiness, heal all our pains, and comfort us on all sides. Amen.
